3 VFNH Booklets of 10 of the 55 ore red brown, brown & grey blue from the 1969 Salvage of WASA Issue. Dextrine & spotty white gum, MF-fl violet, LF-fl covers. The cover fluorescence of this issue appears to vary from dull fluorescent (DF) to low fluorescent (LF), to low fluorescent flecked (LF-fl), to medium fluorescent (MF), and finally to medium fluorescent flecked. There may be higher grades that exist, but all the booklets that I have examined fall within this range. The tagging of panes is usually strong yellow. The booklets can be found with both shiny dextrine gum and what facit calls a dull gum, but which is identical to the spotty white gum found on the 1971 issues of Canada. The booklet exists with both 6 x 2.5mm and 8 x 2mm counting marks. According to Facit 5.7 million booklets were issued, divided between the two different gum types. Generally, fewer than 5-10% of the booklets will contain markings in the tab. One booklet has dextrine gum and the cover is MF-fl violet under UV. The other three booklets have spotty white gum. The first of these has a LF-fl goldenrod cover. The second has a LF-fl greyish light violet cover, and the third has a LF-fl greyish cover. 2014 Facit Cat Kr. 300. Our estimate of the value based on the condition is $39.
