Collection: Current Weekly Auction - Closing Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 11:30 pm Atlantic Time
Welcome to our weekly unreserved auction! This week we offer material from three specialized areas, incorporating a range of the material just received on consignment, plus the first part of all the new material we have purchased in 2 auctions. First, we have a large consignment of Admiral Issues from Canada. Then, we have a large comprehensive offering of Middle Eastern countries, both from the British Commonwealth and outside it, including a highly comprehensive collection of Turkey, which we have broken down. We have thoroughly verified the authenticity of both the stamps and the overprints on all the material pre-1926, and can confirm that we have weeded all the forgeries out prior to lotting.
As lots 1-21, 31-44, 49-51, 56-58, 60, 62-68, 86-89, 91, 280, 286, 301, 304, 307-309, 319-320, 324-326, 336, 343, 345-347, 352, 358, 366, 370-371, 373-374, 379-380, 385, 388, 390-399, 402, 403-410, 412-414, 418, 421, 424, 429-440, 445-453, 455-456, 458, 460-465, 467-469, 471, 473-481, 483-484, 486-488, 490-492, 498-507, 511-512, 515-529 and 532-539 are on consignment, a 15% buyer's premium will apply to those lots only.
We take a break from the Cameo definitives from 1962-1967, for a week, due to the large volume of Admiral lots, and will resume next week.
There are approximately 539 lots this week. The first 254 are listed tonight, with the balance to follow tomorrow. There is not lot 77 or 118.
If you are new to the auction, please visit our FAQ page for a description of all the relevant terms and conditions. Please also note that all Canadian residents will be charged appropriate sales taxes based on where they reside.
