Lot 258 Nigeria #23, 3d Blue & Dull Blue 1921-1932 King George V Imperium Keyplate Issue, Usage On 3 Covers To USA

Three covers sent at the 3d rate to the US, all of which are franked with a single 3d blue, bright blue or dull blue stamps. The stamps are tied by Proud D8 Port Harcourt, Lagos and type D8 Aba cancels. The Aba cover bears an amusing note to the effect that the cover is from a far away place, and encouraging the recipient to look it up in an atlas.

VF condition overall. The value of the cancels in Proud is 4 GBP. The destination for the covers is of no premium value, but the basic covers would be $15. The stamp value on cover is $6. So, my estimate of the value of these is $25.
