Lot 265 Nigeria #20, 2d Chocolate 1921-1932 King George V Imperium Keyplate Issue, Usage On Two Registered Envelopes To The UK
Two registered envelopes, both completely different shades of blue, that have been uprated by affixing single 2d chocolate die 2 stamps, to pay the 5d rate to the UK. One has been sent from Lagos on March 31, 1931, and the other from Port Harcourt on December 18, 1933. The stamps on this envelope being tied by Proud D10 Port Harcourt cancels. Both have Birmingham receiving backstamps.
VF condition overall. The value of the cancels in Proud is 2 GBP. The destination for the covers is not of any premium value. The basic covers are $10. The stamp value on cover is $2. So, my estimate of the value of these is $14.
