Lot 264 Nigeria #20, 23 2d Chocolate & 3d Bright Blue 1921-1932 King George V Imperium Keyplate Issue, Usage On Two Registered Covers To The UK

Two registered covers sent in 1931 and 1932 to the UK, at the 5d rate, and franked with singles of the 2d chocolate die 1 and 3d bright blue. The first cover is sent from Warri on December 17, 1931, and the stamps are tied by Proud type R4 Warri Registry cancels.

The second cover is sent from Onitsha on July 14, 1932 and the stamps are tied by Proud type R2 registry cancels. Lode Cornwall receiving backstamp.

VF condition overall. The value of the cancels in Proud is 4 GBP. The destination for the covers is not of any premium value. The basic covers are $10. The stamp value on cover is $5. So, my estimate of the value of these is $19.
