Lot 267 Nigeria #16b 1d Rose Red 1921-1932 King George V Imperium Keyplate Issue, Usage 3 Registered Envelopes To UK
3 different 3d registered envelopes, each printed in a different shade of blue, all sent to the UK at the 5d rate between September 1929 and February 1932. Each envelope is uprated to the 5d rate with two die 2 1d rose red stamps. Two are sent from Kano and one is sent from Ijebu-Ode. The stamps are tied with Proud type R2 Kano registry cancels and Proud type R3 Ijebu-Ode registry cancels. Two have Birmingham receiving backstamps.
VF condition overall. The value of the cancels in Proud is 20 GBP. The destination for the covers is not of any premium value. The basic covers are $15. The stamp value on cover is $4. So, my estimate of the value of this cover is $39.
