Two 3d dark blue registered envelopes, uprated to 5d, by affixing a single die 2 slate grey to each, to pay the 5d rate (2d postage, plus 3d registration). One is sent from Lagos and the stamps are tied by May 6, 1926 Lagos registry cancels. There is also a Birmingham receiving backstamp on this cover.
The second cover is sent from Jebu-Ode via Lagos, and the stamps are tied with proud type R2 Ijebu-Ode registry cancels.
VF condition overall. The value of the cancels in Proud is 4 GBP. The destination for the covers is not of any premium value. The basic covers are $10. The stamp value on cover is $2. So, my estimate of the value of these is $16.
