Type 1 shows a thinner inner loop of the '9' in '1911' that does not fully connect with the outer curve. The 1's of 1911 have either no serifs at the base, or extremely weak serifs. Type 2 has 9's that show a thicker inner loop that fully joins the outer curve and the 1's show clear serifs.
