A very fine used single of the 1/2c gray black from the 1870-1893 Small Queen Issue, late Montreal printing, MG-e paper, perf 12, showing unusual medallion dot at 9 o'clock.

According to Unitrade, although the other values of the set printed from 1880 to 1889 are found with medallion dots at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock, the 1/2c value is only supposed to exist with a plate dot at top center above P of postage. This example shows a small dot here, but then another at 9 o'clock.
