A fine used single of the $2 blackish violet from the 1897 Diamond Jubilee Issue, bright & distinctive shade variation, possessing the full 'bloom' normally reserved for mint stamps.

Would be VF but for the centering. Most of these are much duller shades of violet, and only 25,000 were issued. Despite more of these being issued than the other dollar values, this is in my opinion, the toughest to find nicely used.

Unitrade values this at $300, so we estimate it at $450. The stamp offered here grades 70 as follows:
