Lot 337 Canada #35var 1c Deep Dull Yellow Queen Victoria, 1870-1897 Small Queen Issue, A VF Used Single Mid-Second Ottawa Printing From New Plates, Medium Porous Horizontal Mesh Paper (2O-E), White Flaw Above "EC" Of "One Cent"

A VF used single of the 1c deep dull yellow Queen Victoria from the 1870-1897 Small Queen Issue mid-second Ottawa printing from new plates, medium porous horizontal mesh paper (2o-e), white flaw above "ec" of "one cent". Flaws like this are much less common on these stamps that you would expect. The dozen or so lots offered in this sale with printing flaws came from several hundred used 1c stamps that I went through thoroughly.

Unitrade does not list this variety. Our estimate of the value, based on scarcity and condition is $15. The stamp offered here grades 76 as follows:

Centering/Margins: 40/60

Paper Freshness: 5/5

Colour: 5/5

Impression: 5/5

Absence of Visible Paper Flaws: 5/5
