A VG used strip of 3 of the 1c bright orange yellow Queen Victoria from the 1870-1897 Small Queen Issue mid second Ottawa printing, showing plate dot in lower margin of left stamp below "t" of cent, odd, as these dots are not supposed to be on the second Ottawa plates. The state of wear suggests that this is a pre-1893 printing, and according to Unitrade, these plates are not supposed to have any dots in the margins. A curious and interesting item. Nova Scotia dumb grid cancel. Printed on greyish newsprint (type 2O-C).
