A VF used block of 4, strip of 3, 4 pairs and 34 fine & vf used singles of the 1c-3c deep rose lilac, violet, reddish violet, milky violet, blackish violet, dull violet Numeral from the 1935-1967 Fourth Postage Due Issue all dated examples, printed on various papers & in various shades, useful for assigning approximate dates to specific printings. This group consists of dated examples with CDS or boxed cancels, which account for probably less than 10% of all used examples and are invaluble for assigning approximate dates for specific printings of these stamps. Includes a block of 4 and a single 1c pale reddish violet with September 1946 dates. The remaining 1c values are mostly deep rose lilac shades on various papers and include dates from 1944, 1966, 1967, 1937, 1959, plus 1960 on two violet shades. There are 7 reddish violet and milky violet shades, with dates including: 1949, 1944, 1960, 1959, 1939, and 1940. The other 2c values are almost all shades of violet, but include a bright violet with 1946 date. The violet 2c stamps include the following dates: 1960, 1936, 1966, 1941, 1937, 1950, 1956, 1940, and 1961. The 3c pair is deep rose lilac and is cancelled November 24, 1967.
