Lot 331 Canada #35 1c Yellow, A Fine Used Single Mid Second Ottawa Printing, Porous Medium Horizontal Mesh Paper (2O-E), Perf. 12 x 12.2, Showing Medalion Dot Inside Medalion At 9 O'Clock, Interesting As These Plates Supposedly Do Not Have These Dots

A fine used single of the 1c yellow Queen Victoria from the 1870-1897 Small Queen Issue mid second Ottawa printing, porous medium horizontal mesh paper (2o-e), perf. 12 x 12.2, showing medalion dot inside medalion at 9 o'clock, interesting as these plates supposedly do not have these dots. According to Unitrade, the second Ottawa plates are not supposed to have any medallion dots, but this example, cancelled in May 30, 1893, clearly shows that some plates had a dot inside the medallion, among the horizontal shading lines. This was the only example I found in the several hundred second Ottawa printings I examined.
