8 Ungraded used singles of the 1c yellow, deep yellow, pale dull yellow, lemon yellow & orange Queen Victoria from the 1870-1897 Small Queen Issue reference lot of mid-Montreal printings with plate position dots at lower left, dates between 1879-1887, different papers, see description. All are perf. 12. The post-1880 dates suggest either late usage, or the possibility that there were some plates made after 1880, which still had these dots. Mixed condition, but generally with small faults, being VG or good. There are a wide variety of papers represented here as follows: (1) 1879 and 1880 dates - stout wove with horizontal mesh (MM-B); (2) 1882 dates vertical hard wove with coarse mesh (MM-D); (3) 1887 date on hard medium horizontal wove with fine mesh (MM-E); (4) 1881 date is on MM-E paper.
