Lot 303 India & Great Britain Three World War II Field Post Free Frank Letters to Canada

Three field post letters, two sent from field post offices in the UK and one sent from India to Canada with censor's mark on the front. 

The first letter is on Salvation Army letterhead and was sent in a Salvation Army envelope, to Kilburn, NB on March 29, 1943. The letter was from private JW Paul, with LWG Hughes endorsing as the commanding officer. The Kilburn cancel on the back indicates that it arrived on April 17, 1943. 

The second is a Red Cross envelope, with minor opening tears, with "written from hosp. in Eng.". Sent January 17, 1945 and arrived in Cumberland Bay, NB, as noted by the split ring cancel on the back. 

The third envelope does not have a readable postmark, but the ink is consistent with that used by India at the time. Notations on the front indicate that is was sent via the first sailing of American Export Lines and was sent from J. Reid at Mission House in Madhupar, India. There are no backstamps.
