Lot 398 New Brunswick (C) #2 6d Olive Yellow, A VF Appearing 4-Margin Used Example, With A Clear Strike Of #10 Grid Cancel For Dalhousie (Rated Rare), Shallow Thin

A very fine appearing used example of this scarce and iconic stamp with four clear margins, and a clear strike of the rare #10 grid cancel for Dalhousie. There is a shallow thin on the back, as is so often encountered with these stamps that are printed on very fragile paper, that is highly susceptible to thinning. There is also a light horizontal crease. 

Unitrade values this stamp at $800 in the grade of fine. A normal VG example would typically sell for $400. With this scarce cancel, a reasonable value would be $500.
