A fine used single of the 1c pale dull yellow Queen Victoria from the 1870-1893 Small Queen Issue, late montreal printing, paper type lm-a (see body), perf 12.1x12, clear medallion dot at 9'oclock & March 3 Hamilton CDS cancel.

LM-A refers to Late Montreal, paper type A (stout horizontal, non-porous wove with coarse horizontal mesh). The cancel clearly proves that plates after 1880 did have medallion dots before 1886.
