Lot 210 Bermuda SG#110var 1d Gray Black & Deep Red , 1936-1952 KGVI Pictorial Issue, A VFNH Single, October 1950 Printing, Comb Perforated Instead Of Line Perf, Translucent Paper With Clearly Visibler Wmk & Smooth Appearing Gum.
A VFNH single of the 1d gray black & deep red from the 1936-1952 KGVI Pictorial Issue, october 1950 printing, comb perforated instead of line perf, translucent paper with clearly visibler wmk & smooth appearing gum.
The gum is usually crackly, and has very fine diagonal cracks. The comb perf printings being issued towards the end of this Issue's life are much scarcer than the wartime printings.
Gibbons doesn't list this variety, so we estimate it at $10. The stamp offered here grades 75 as follows:
Centering/Margins: 45/70
Paper Freshness: 5/5
Colour: 5/5
Impression: 5/5
Absence of Visible Paper Flaws: 5/5
