A fine used cross border cover of the 2c pink from the 1895-1897 First Bureau Issue, type iii, sent from Seattle on March 18 1897 to Belleville ON, arriving March 25 1897.

It was both backstamped with a CDS and stamped on the front with a type 2 Belleville squared circle. It was redirected to Toronto where it arrived the same day. A good example of a squared circle used as a forwarding mark.
