A very fine used single of the 2d reddish purple Queen Victoria from the 1901-1910 Queen Victoria Issue, crown over a wmk, perf 12x12.5, SON January 30 1908 Hobart Tasmania cancel, used in Tasmania.

All states stamps were valid throughout Australia after 1901, but this is the first instance I have seen where the stamp of one state was used in another.
