Canada #1074var 34c Multicoloured CGR Class H4D 2-8-0 type, 1985 Canadian Locomotives Issue, 2 VFNH Singles White Dot By Dome (Pos 24), White Dot Under A (Pos 2), DF1/DF1, Tertiary & Possibly Constant
2 VFNH singles of the 34c multicoloured CGR Class H4D 2-8-0 type from the 1985 Canadian Locomotives Issue white dot by dome (pos 24), white dot under a (pos 2), DF1/DF1, tertiary & possibly constant. The white dot under A variety is definitely at least tertiary, as it is present in lot 357. The white dots by dome variety may be tertiary or constant, but more study of full sheets is required to properly establish whether or not this is the case. 1985 marks the year in which the Harrison paper becomes primarily dull under UV, whereas in 1984 it was primarily LF (at least on the face). The normal appearance of this paper is DF on the front and usually some variation of DF on the back. Variations that are LF on either the front or back are much less common at this point, and definitely worthy of separate mention.
Unitrade does not list this variety, but we estimate the value at $10. The stamp offered here grades 80 as follows:
Centering/Margins: 50/70
Paper Freshness: 5/5

Absence of Visible Paper Flaws: 5/5
