Canada 1043var 32c Multicoloured Pilots in Flying Gear, Treffle Berthiaume, 1984 Air Force Issue, 4 VFNH Singles DF1/DF2 & DF2/DF2 Harrison Papers, 2 Different Shades on Left Pilot's Jacket
4 VFNH singles of the 32c multicoloured Pilots in Flying Gear, Treffle Berthiaume from the 1984 Air Force Issue DF1/DF2 & DF2/DF2 Harrison papers, 2 different shades on left pilot's jacket. The "1" or "2" in the paper description refers to where the paper falls on the Irwin-Freeman scale, from 0 to 12, with 0 being NF and 12 being the brightest of hibrites. DF2 is quite close to LF, but not quite bright enough. That being said, the difference between DF2 and NF visually is quite striking. The air force issue differs with respect to the browb of the left pilot's jacket. One one pair the jacket is a distinct walnut brown, and on the other a much redder brown.
Unitrade does not list these varieties, but we estimate the value at $5. The stamps offered here grade 80 as follows:
Centering/Margins: 50/70
Paper Freshness: 5/5
Colour: 5/5
Impression: 5/5
Absence of Visible Paper Flaws: 5/5
