Lot 194 Canada #34 1/2c Silver Black & Black Queen Victoria, 1870-1893 Small Queen Issue, 2 FOG/FPOG Singles, Perfs 12.1x12 & 12, Non-Porous Horizontal Stout Wove Coarse Mesh Paper (LM-A), No Plate Position Or Medallion Dots

2 FOG/FPOG singles of the 1/2c silver black & black Queen Victoria from the 1870-1893 Small Queen Issue, perfs 12.1x12 & 12, non-porous horizontal stout wove coarse mesh paper (LM-A), no plate position or medallion dots.

The silver black stamp shows minor extension on some of the shading lines in the upper right ornament (small re-entry). Neither stamp shows either plate position dot nor a medallion dot, and both show two tiny dots inside the H of half, a feature that seems common to most 1/2 cent stamps.

Unitrade values these at $20 for very fine, so we estimate them at $30. The stamps offered here grade 68 and 70 as follows:

Centering/Margins: 40/70

Paper Freshness: 3/5, 5/5

Colour: 5/5

Impression: 5/5

Absence of Visible Paper Flaws: 5/5

Perforations: 10/10
