4 VFOG & VFNH singles of the 1d-2/6d multicoloured Elephants - Kobs from the 1965-1966 Wildlife Issue with FGN overprints on different papers, black overprint offset on 4d. These were prepared for use by government departments, but were never officially issued. They are not priced in either Gibbons or Scott, but are scarce. The 1d, 3d and 4d are all hinged, while the 2/6d is NH. The 1d and 3d are on MF/DF paper. The 4d is on MF/DF paper and printed in ink that fluoresces bright pink under UV. The 2/6d is on MF/MF paper. The FGN overprints on this stamp appear on the back, as well.
