A fine mint OG example of the 7c deep dull blue Caribou stamp from the 1937 Long Coronation Issue, with line perforation 14.25. Printed on horizontal wove paper, showing no obvious mesh, and with crackly cream gum that has a satin sheen. Watermarked coat of arms upright (caribou antlers pointing right), which is the normal position for this stamp. Unitrade values a F-65 OG single in the more common shades, which for this stamp are royal blues or ultramarines at $2.00. The dull blue shades with a greenish tinge are much scarcer, and our pricing reflects this. The stamp offered here grades 70 as follows: Margins/centering: 40/70 Paper freshness: 5/5 Colour: 5/5 Impression: 5/5 Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5 Perforations: 10/10 We currently have two stamps in stock in this shade, perforation, paper type, gum type and grade.
