A very fine OG example of the 15c deep brown purple "Sir Humphrey Gilbert on the Squirrel" stamp from the 1933 Sir Humphrey Gilbert Issue, with inverted watermark. Printed on vertical wove paper, showing no obvious mesh, and with crackly cream gum that has a satin sheen. Watermarked arms sideways-inverted (top of shield pointing right and the caribou antlers pointing downwards). Unitrade values a VF-75 OG single at $50.
