A very fine NH example of a British Postal Agencies in Eastern Arabia 2R printed on a 2/6d deep chocolate brown Carrickfergus Castle stamp from the 1955-1958 Wilding Issue. This is a post-February 1957 Waterlow printing, with the type 3 surcharge. The Waterlow printings from before February 1957 are found on a paper that is a deeper shade of cream than those after February 1957, which are a lighter cream and are closer to white. This stamp is unlisted, as the Type 3 surcharges are normally found on De La Rue Printings. Gibbons values this at £27 for a De La Rue Printing. This translates to approximately $54. The stamp offered here grades 84.
