Canada #370, 374 5c Ultramarine & 5c Black David Thomson, Queen Elizabeth II & Prince Philip, 1957 Commemoratives, June 1958 10c Overpaid Surface Cover to Germany Franked With 2 Stamps

A very fine overpaid 6c surface cover to Germany, or an underpaid double rate cover. Sent June 1958 and franked with 5c Royal Visit and 5c David Thompson, overpaying the rate by 4c. Unusual, as most covers to Germany would be sent by airmail at this point.

Our estimate of the value of this cover based on the above factors is $10. To understand how we have assessed the cover and arrived at this estimate and to gain a broader understanding of postal history collecting, I would suggest you read the article linked here. It should clarify the factors that make covers, and this one in particular scarce, and will help you to understand why we have estimated it at this amount.
