Canada #301/329 10c Violet Brown & 5c Ultramarine Queen Elizabeth II & Drying Skins, 1950-1953 Postes Postage Issue & 1952-54 Karsh Issue, June 1953 15c Airmail Cover to Germany With Mixed Franking

A very fine 15c airmail cover to Germany, sent in June 1953 and franked with a 5c Karsh and 10c drying skins from the 1949-53 Postes-Postage issue. The Karsh stamp is very slightly late use, but the 10c skins is fully in period, as the 10c Inuk and Kayak was not issued until February 1955.

Our estimate of the value of this cover based on the above factors is $10. To understand how we have assessed the cover and arrived at this estimate and to gain a broader understanding of postal history collecting, I would suggest you read the article linked here. It should clarify the factors that make covers, and this one in particular scarce, and will help you to understand why we have estimated it at this amount.
