Canada #316/356 20c Slate - 5c Green and Orange Brown Newsprint Industry, Queen Elizabeth II & Scouting, 1952-1954 Karsh Issue, 1954-62 Wilding Issue & 1955 Scouting Issue 3 1954 Local Registered Covers to Worker's Compensation Board in Toronto
A very fine group of three domestic registered covers, all franked with a 20c Newsprint Industry and Either a 5c Karsh, 5c Wilding or 5c Scouting Jamboree issue. All were sent between April 14, 1954 and September 1955, so the 5c Karsh is only a couple of weeks after the 5c Wilding was issued. Nice range of backstamps on each cover and all have RPO cancels.
Unusual because:
All three covers were carried by train for at least part of their route.
The covers are registered, and most commercial registered covers get thrown away.
One cover has the remaining 5c postage paid with a curent commemorative.
