Lot 97 Canada #112a 5c Violet King George V, 1911-1928 Admiral Issue, A Superb NH Example Of The Wet Printing With Normal Frame Line On Thin Experimental Paper

A superb NH example of the wet printing with normal frame line, on the thin experimental paper with coarse mesh that was introduced in 1924. There is just the very slightest trace of a horizontal bend at the top of the stamp that can only be seen on the gum side. It's not a crease as such as it's not deep enough to have affected the the paper fibers, but more of a gum bend. We are nonetheless deducting five points from the grade for it. 2023 Unitrade catalog value is $150 for VF. we estimating the value of this example at $200. The stamp offered here grades 93 as follows:

Centering/Margins: 68/70

Paper Freshness: 5/5

Colour: 5/5

Impression: 5/5

Absence of Visible Paper Flaws: 5/5

Perforations: 10/10
