A VFNH bottom sheet margin plate block of 18 of the 1/2d deep green from the 1884-1886 Colour Changes & New Values, Crown CA Watermark. Perf 14 comb. The 3 bottom rows of the sheet, showing both plate number & current number 1. The system of current numbers was discontinued in 1891, so we know this is a pre-1892 printing. Therer is a fiar amount of wear to the plate which was obscured the detail in the head above the crown & back of the head. So it is likely from around 1890. 2022 Scott Classic cat. $150.
