Lot 6 Canada #41 3c Vermilion, 1870-1897 Small Queen Issue, Usage on 2 Covers, Both To Same Person, With Enclosed Letters

A pair of correspondence to a Miss Francis Flintoft, sent two years apart in October 1894 and December 1892, and both containing the original letters. The first was sent to her from Sarnia to Toronto. It appears that Miss Flintoft then moved back to Sarnia in the interim, so that the second letter was sent to her from Oshawa in October 1894. The letters are very well written and easy to read. The first is written by a friend, Alice Watson, and she describes her work as a Christian Missionary. The second is written by a different friend letter her know that an upcoming visit will need to be cancelled. Both covers are franked with a single #41, and both tied by nice, readable CDS strikes. The 1894 cover is a little roughly opened at the left and has some edge staining, but the 1892 cover is very fine. Net. Est. $10.
