Lot 57 Canada #41 3c Vermilion and Orange Vermilion Queen Victoria, 1870-1897 Small Queen Issue, Single Usage on Three Covers to Guysborough, and New York, VG-F and VF, Est. $20

Two VG-F covers to Guysborough, from Halifax (repaired edge tears) and one very fine cover to New York, all franked with 3c orange vermilion or vermilion 3c second Ottawa printings. The two Guysborough covers both have nice strikes of the Halifax squared circle postmarks dated November 16, 1897 and January 3, 1898. The New York cover has the stamp tied by a split ring cancel for a small town ending in “Station”, dated June 30, 1894. All Three have receiving backstamps.
Unitrade cat. for three fine covers is $30. Our estimate for the two VG-F covers is $3 each and $15 for the VF cover, so $21 for all three.
