Lot 52 Canada #341iivar 5c Bright Blue Queen Elizabeth II, 1954 Wilding Issue, A VFNH Block Of 6, On Fluorescent Paper With Dramatic Pre-Printing Crease

A VFNH block of 6 of the 5c bright blue Queen Elizabeth II from the 1954 Wilding Issue on fluorescent paper with dramatic pre-printing crease.

Dramatic pre-printing crease affecting four stamps in the block. The paper is also the vertical ribbed paper from the post 1960 period. A fantastic showpiece for the wilding specialist. Unitrade does not value pre-print folds, but they tend to sell for $200-$300 each. The fluorescent paper singles catalogue $30 each. So a reasonable value would be : $180 + (200x2) + (300x2) - $1,180.

The block offered here grades 75 as follows:

Centering/Margins: 45/70

Paper Freshness: 5/5

Colour: 5/5

Impression: 5/5

Absence of Visible Paper Flaws: 5/5

Perforations: 10/10
