Two strikes of the boxed Ottawa Registered handstamp, listed in Jarett as type 1470. Boxed purple March 8, 1894 New York receiving backstamp.
Valued at $150 in the Canadian Posted Letter guide for a franking with the 5c registered stamp plus 3c. This franking is scarcer, and the boxed handstamp adds about $30 to the value also. So our estimate of the value of this cover is $180.
