Lot 505 Nigeria #186 1.5d Multicoloured Splendid Sunbird, 1965-1966 Wildlife Issue, A VFNH/OG Full Sheet Of 25 On HF/MF Paper, Some Selvedge Thinning & Damage To LL Stamp & Some Gum Disturbances

A VFNH/OG full sheet of 25 of the 1.5d multicoloured Splendid Sunbird from the 1965-1966 Wildlife Issue on HF/MF paper, some selvedge thinning & damage to ll stamp & some gum disturbances. The selvedge at the bottom is thined in several spots, with the LL stamp damaged. Light gum disturbances affect all but the centre 9 stamps in the sheet. Still a scarce value to find in a full sheet. The sheet is also folded alomg the vertical perfs between columns 3 & 4. Interestingly, the misalignment of the perfs that we saw in lot 503 is present all down the last column.

2017 Scott values NH singles at $8 each per stamp. So, our estimate of the value is $135, based on 9 singles at $8 each, 15 singles at $4 each, plus a small premium for being in a full sheet. The sheet offered here grade 80 as follows:
