A stunningly beautiful hand painted and printed first day cover, showing a sleeping Santa next to a fireplace and Christmas tree. From what I can see, the basic background and the darker shading lines of the design are printed, but all the colour detail has been painted in by hand. Notes on the back indicate that it was #98 of a total of 112 covers made by the artist. Was originally priced at $25. Very fine, net est. $15.
