A VFNH complete sheet of 60 of the 1d multicoloured Elephants from the 1965-1966 Wildlife Issue on HF/LF paper, crackly dex gum, with FGN overprints, upper right pane, cylinder 1B. The FGN overprints were prepared for use by government departments, but were never officially issued. They are not priced in either Gibbons or Scott, but are scarce.There are some minor perf separations at the selvedge, as well as creases and wrinkles in the selvedge itself. The sheet has been folded in half horizontally, But also, the stamps in the 7th row have a light horizontal bend, due to misfolding at some point. We feel that an estimate of $5 per stamp is reasonable for this.
