A GOG example of the 15ch rose & deep green from the 1867-1868 Embossed Queen Victoria Rouletted 10 Issue, type 1. This has been deteremined as genuine by the presence of a ridge along the left margin that appears as a faint grey line, as per the note in Scott. It has OG , but its messy having 2 hinge remainders. There are 2 hinge thins and a small tear at left. This reduces the grade to good, still a useful reference example. 2022 Scott cat. $170. Our estimate of the value based on the condition is $10.

With all issues known to be forged, we have verified the authenticity of the stamps be checking them against Reverend Earee's descriptions in his book "Album Weeds". Although published in 1897, this tome describes in very great detail the characteristics of the genuine stamps, and then all the forgeries that were known up until then. We have checked the stamps against all of his descriptions. Based on our examination, we can confidently state that the stamp(s) offered here are genuine.
