2 VF wedding invitations, birth announcement & thank you card of the 5c ultramarine Queen Elizabeth II from the 1954-1962 Wilding Issue complete with 5c forward rate covers used to send them, sent between 1954-1961. Beautiful group of 2 wedding invitations, one thank you card and a birth announcement card, with the accompanying envelopes used to mail them, that are all franked with 5c ultramarine stamps on either DF horizontal ribbed paper or DF vertical ribbed paper. The fascinating thing is these are now nearly 70 years old, and with a couple of exceptions, they look like they could have been sent yesterday, as today's formal invitations have not changed that much. It is unusual to get covers from this period with the original contents, and for that to be something other than a letter.
