Lot 44 Canada #119c 20c Deep Olive Green King George V, 1911-1928 Admiral Issue, A VFNH Example Of The Wet Printing

A very well centered and fresh NH mitn example of the deep olive green wet printing. There are several shades of 119c, of which this is without any brownish cast. This example has the normal frameline. There is a natural gumming anomaly on the right side around the two upper maple leaves in the oval. Examining it from the back under a loupe and tilted at an angle to the light, it is clear that it is not a gum distuirbance, not is it gumming over a thin, as revealed by watermark fluid. On the face at the same spot, there is a spot of gum on top of the ink, which suggests quite strongly, that the sheets were stacked on top of one another before this area of the gum had fully dried. Thus, these are natural occurrences as part of the printing and gumming process, rather than evidence of regumming or gum redistribution. 2023 Unitrade catalog value is $600.
