Lot 439 Canada #716ii, iii 14c Multicoloured Queen Elizabeth II, 1977-1982 Floral & Environment Issue, A Fine Used Full Sheet Of 100 Used On Bulk Mailing Card, Showing Raised Eyebrow Variety (Pos. 1), DF/LF Paper

A fine used full sheet of 100 of the 14c multicoloured Queen Elizabeth II from the 1977-1982 Floral & Environment Issue used on bulk mailing card, showing raised eyebrow variety (pos. 1), DF/LF paper. The sender was lilely Eaton's, as lot 438, which was sent from Fort Frances, was sent in the same manner. This was likely used to mail flyers for a total of $14 postage. The post office has used the backing card from a pad of post office sheets, this time from CBN, and have affixed the sheet, cancelling them with a Fort Frances roller cancels. There are some selvedge wrinkles on the bottom of the sheet, but otherwise it is pristine. Although these roller cancels are not the most attractive, these large used multiples are really quite rare - large blocks and sheets that were properly used, in-period to cover a bulk mailing - an absolute must for a specialist collector of this issue.

Unitrade values the singles at $34.80. Our estimate of the value is $20.
