Lot 400A Canada #418i 5c Red Brown, Green & Buff White Trillium, 1964-1966 Emblems Issue, A VFNH Single On Fluorescent Vertical Wove Paper With Streaky Dextrine Gum
A VFNH single of the 5c red brown, green & buff White Trillium from the 1964-1966 Emblems Issue on fluorescent vertical wove paper with streaky dextrine gum. The true fluorescent paper, which is noticably brighter than the LF paper, is quite a bit scarcer than the LF. Unitrade's listings are for F paper, but in reality what they are really listing is LF, with the true F paper being a scarcer subset of that. I've only found it on a handful of the earlier stamps up to the Lady's Slipper stamp. I haven't seen it in the later issues from 1966.
Unitrade values this at $2 for the LF paper. The F paper is scarcer. Our estimate of the value on this paper is $5. The stamps offered here grade 75 as follows:
Centering/Margins: 45/70
Paper Freshness: 5/5
Colour: 5/5
Impression: 5/5
Absence of Visible Paper Flaws: 5/5
Perforations: 10/10
