Lot 385 Canada #942-942v 6c Henna Brown Parliament Buildings, 1982-1987 Artifacts & National Parks Issue, 8 VFNH Booklet Pairs, NF/NF to HF/HF, Rolland & Harrison Papers
8 VFNH booklet pairs of the 6c henna brown Parliament Buildings from the 1982-1987 Artifacts & National Parks Issue. NF/NF to HF/HF Rolland & Harrison papers.
The Rolland paper printings include: HF, MF8, MF7, F/F, LF/LF, and NF/NF. The Harrison paper printings include LF/LF and DF/DF.
The Rolland paper is distinguished from Abitibi by the extremely bright white appearance of the gummed side, and the fact that it is completely opaque. Usually Abitibi paper has a slight cream undertone, but it is also slightly translucent, being a uncoated paper. Harrison paper usually has a greenish gum, and the paper always curls from tension exerted by the contraction of the gum.
Unitrade values these at $9.40 for the basic listed stamps. Our best estimate of the value, given the scacity of some of the unlisted varieties is $12. The pairs offered here grade 75-80 as follows:
