4 VF Canada Post new issue brochures of the 5c black & white Ontario - Prince Edward Island from the 1964-1966 Emblems Issue printed in English, containing printing specifications. During this period, the post office printed four brochures for each issue: one titled "Canada's Postage Stamps" and depicting the designs on an artist's easel. This type of brochure, printed in English or French, gave the story behind the stamps, but not any of the production specification. I think these would have come out before the issue in question was actually printed and issued, but after the designs were approved. The other type of brochure was the actual new issue brochure containing both the story and the production specifications. The formats of these, in terms of the exact text appearing on the cover, differ slightly from issue to issue. Generally, the English brochures are much, much more common than the French, which are all very scarce.
Unitrade does not list these brochures, but our estimate of the value is $8.
