VFNH examples of four £1.54 booklets from the Postal History Series, each containing a pane of 10 Machins, consisting of 6 17p stamps and 4 13p stamps. The selvedge is at the left for one of each booklet, and on the right for the others. The selvedge tabs all contain a single extension perf hole, cutting guidemarks and the 14th design booklet with selvedge at right has a split arrow marking at the top. The panes are tagged with two phosphor bands, but in such a way that all 17p values have two bands and all 13p stamps have only one band at either left or right. All have PVAD gum. Both FQ1’s have HF covers and HB/MF panes. All except the 13th design booklet with selvedge at left have HB covers and HB/MF panes, and that booklet has HF cover and HB/MF pane.
