A very fine commercial cover, sent to Australia in 1988 and franked with a VF pair of the 17p grey blue with the elusive type II emblem, in which the Dragon's tongue is thick, the eye lacks the white centre dot, and where the nose and the eye are joined. Gibbons lists mint and used singles at the same price of 50 GBP each, making this one of the most expensive regular listed stamps by far. A lovely and elusive commercial usage. Gibbons cat off cover as used stamps is 100 GBP, so the cover should easily be worth $100.
