5 VFNH singles of the 1d rose carmine - rose-red King George VI from the 1938-1952 King George VI Definitive Issue line perf 12. Starts with a pre-July 1942 printing in carmine red, with crackly cream gum and clear watermark. Then there is another pre-July 1942 printing in bright rose-red, with crackly cream gum and clear watermark. Then we have a July 1943 printing in deep rose red, with crackly white gum, with clear watermark. Then another pre-July 1942 printing in carmine-red. Then, finally there is a possible 1944 unlisted printing, not in Potter & Shelton's table that is bright rose red, with smooth white gum and very clear watermark.
